in Nha Trang after a hellish 12 hr bus ride where no one could sleep as the bus went on the bumpiest of roads and the seats were tres uncomfortable! So after arrivin, Andrew and I slpet for 5 hrs! Then headed to the beach (which was a long walk from hotel) for a swim! Lovely! Met the others later for drinks as it was Yvonne's bday (the Irish girl I met in halong Bay). Also met the US and English couple there...so we sat and drank and chatted till folks started to leave at 1ish. Andrew, Yvonne and I stayed till 2.30ish and were rather chikered at this stage. Headed home for 3ish.

In the morning (well it was 12pm when we awoke!) we decided to check out of hotel as it was so far away, sowe moved nearer the main beach and sailing club. Sat on beach and chilled for a while! met the others ltr for drinks (all soft!) and dinner!

Yesterday, the 12th, we went on Mama Hahn's boat trip - the real Mama Hahn is still in prison for drugs, so these tours are cheap copies! Anyway we sailed to various islands where we swam and snorkled in the crystal clear waters. All the while the host was making us drink beers. After a great lunch, a home made band came on and played some music and some folks got up and danced...rather funny, too many beers for them! Then they had a floating bar - picce of PVC in the water with rubber rings around it and the guy making people drink red wine...very funny! Went to see an aquariam in the shape of a boat but made out of rock...very weird and hopefully my pics come out well! The English couple and Yvonne all went on the boat trip as Andrew left for Dalat in the morning. Seeing him in Saigon in a few days.

Today, I am resting on the beach/internet then meeting Hels/Adam (English folks) for lunch. Our bus is at 8pm - I head to Saigon but they are stopping off at another beach half way. I think Yvonne has just emailed me that she has reserved a room for me in Saigon...she is off back to Dublin on Friday! Should be meeting these guys back in Saigon or Phen Penh.

Nha Trang is a fairly nice place - a bit too commercial with too many hotels and Vietnamese on holiday, but that is alright...last beach till Thailand! But I have met some nice folks down the coast, which has made it rather fun and interesting!

Into Saigon in the morning for a few days b4 I head across the border to Cambodia. Should be there for about 7-8 days (not much there!) then I will head into Laos. It might not be poss, which means I will have to go thru Thailand to Vientiene or skip it...see when I am there!
But still looking at an early Oct Departure...
