My summer of 2003 was a very exciting one. I went to Jonquière, Quebec to learn French for 5 weeks, and with only a few days to prepare (including a party at my friend Paul's cottage in between) I was off to Accra, Ghana landing July 1 (Canada Day, and also Ghanaian Independance Day). After that, within 3 days I was back at Ottawa to complete my Economics degree, so it was a very action-packed summer.

too high are just some examples of things that I cannot do in Canada and will have to adjust back to. I know that I will definitely have a tough time getting used to not being able to get Fan Ice (little ice-cream bars for 25 cents) anywhere I go anymore.
Here's a story especially for the Minden crowd... Yesterday I went to the airport to pick up a new member of the National Executive coming here from Kenya. This made it the 6th time I've been in at the airport since I got here. I was supposed to meet another member of the executive at the airport, but I arrived earlier than him, and he ended up arriving a little late (still before people came out of the airport, so it was not a problem), however, since he was not there, I was starting to wonder what was going to happen if he did not show up in time. All I knew was that this person was a female arriving from Kenya. As an AIESEC member, she would probably be under 30, but with the organization being very international, there was a possibility of her not even originally being from Kenya, so there goes looking for a stereotypical Kenyan. I didn't know her name so all that I would be able to do would be to yell "AIESEC" whenever I saw some under 30 female coming out of the doors. Luckily, I didn't have to do that, but it was still funny to think about. Now on the way back to the house with our new guest, I noticed a guy walking on the side of the road. I saw the word "Minden" on the shirt, so I did a double-take, and then saw "Rockcliffe" above it. We drive by pretty quick, so it didn't hit me until a few seconds later, but that guy was wearing a Rockcliffe Tavern shirt from the 70's. Now for those of you not familiar with what I am talking about, these are shirts that a tavern in Minden made back in the 70's and they ended up getting pretty popular at the time (at least in Ontario). I probably would not have known about it had some family of mine not had cottages on Gull Lake. This
