It's been 5 years since this trip, so I am going to think back about where I went, and what types of cool adventures I experienced during this time. My primary motives for taking this trip was the following: I had never been out of North America and wanted to see more of the world. I had contacts across Europe, and thought it would be fun to visit them. Also, I was about to go to University (I had graduated High School) and figured that life as a student is always poor. So why not have gone on a trip before school and used up some money that I had since I would be poor when it came time for university anyway. The trip was a month long in total and I only spent a few days in most places.

(I don't remember exactly, but I bought like 10 bars). It was also crazy for me to see Beer Samples! In the grocery store, there was a guy with an umbrella and a keg that was pushing free samples (a glass) of beer. Being from Canada I thought this was quite the sight, and told my cousins how you would never see that in Canada (at least in Ontario). I believe we were at the grocery store that day to prepare for our trip to Ukraine, so that will lead me to my next segment.
Ukraine (via Poland) - Львів, Чернівці, Рівне, Дядьковичі - Lviv, Chernivtsi, Rivne, Dіadkovychi
I was very fortunate to have my cousins from Czech Republic drive me to Ukraine, so it made things a lot easier. We drove through Poland (so I needed a transit visa) and apparently, when I was with them, they had the least trouble at the border that they had ever experienced. I guess the border people liked me :) I had to fill out some papers, but it was just regular stuff. I don't remember much of Poland since we were just driving, and I was probably sleeping for a lot of it. When we got to the Ukrainian border, there was a huge line of cars and we were waiting there almost all night it seemed. Vadim didn't seem to want to sleep and he was playing Hacki Sack outside of the car. When we actually got there, they made me buy this strange insurance even though I already had a Deluxe Package insurance from Canada which I am sure would cover a lot more. Well, it seemed they wouldn't let you into the country without it, and it cost like $5 or $20 CAN, so I was extra insured when I was there. First place we went to was Lviv and stayed with some family that we had there. We slept in the car and waited until in the early morning when they noticed we were outside and greeted us (we didn't want to wake them up in the middle of the night so we did not knock). Dima and I went around the city with another cousin Andriy
