It's been 5 years since this trip, so I am going to think back about where I went, and what types of cool adventures I experienced during this time. My primary motives for taking this trip was the following: I had never been out of North America and wanted to see more of the world. I had contacts across Europe, and thought it would be fun to visit them. Also, I was about to go to University (I had graduated High School) and figured that life as a student is always poor. So why not have gone on a trip before school and used up some money that I had since I would be poor when it came time for university anyway. The trip was a month long in total and I only spent a few days in most places.

salad was fresh vegetables (complete -- the carrots still had the green ends on them and everything) and you would cut them up as you please and put it together. Anyways, I just thought it was an interesting place. My last night I was on my own. My cousin had gone to Switzerland for a meeting so I had to lock up the place and leave the key behind for him, and then I was off to the Gare du Nord I think and I headed to Germany on a Thalys train.
Germany - Köln, Münster, Berlin
I headed from Paris to Köln (Cologne) and had to transfer to another train to get to Münster to visit my friend Paul (who was an exchange student when I was in grade 11). He was coming back from an Army Base since he was doing his year in the Army (as every good German must do) and wouldn't you know who I ran into at the platform! I see this Army guy look at me and say "Hey! Andrew???" It was a fun surprise and made the rest of that trip much easier. We got to Münster and went around the town. I got to check out the mall, and buy some German music. I bought Fünf Sterne Deluxe and Die Fantastischen Vier. Later on we were watching Einundzwanzig Quiz Show (which was the German equivalent to the popular show "21" at that time). Now at this time I don't know any German, but was able to get enough words (names, English, etc.) from the questions to come up with the answer, and this was amusing my German friends since they were baffled as to how I understood. It may have helped that at that time, a lot of the questions had to do with American Movies. Later on we went to a party where there was a bunch of friends of Paul and his girlfriend. It was quite the fun time and I got to meet some people (some of which had also been on exchanges to the Niagara region) and there was this one girl who didn't know English very well (but good enough for me to understand) and was determined to teach me to count to 100 in German. Luckily once you know 1-10,
