It's been 5 years since this trip, so I am going to think back about where I went, and what types of cool adventures I experienced during this time. My primary motives for taking this trip was the following: I had never been out of North America and wanted to see more of the world. I had contacts across Europe, and thought it would be fun to visit them. Also, I was about to go to University (I had graduated High School) and figured that life as a student is always poor. So why not have gone on a trip before school and used up some money that I had since I would be poor when it came time for university anyway. The trip was a month long in total and I only spent a few days in most places.

5%, but it's the bottles that are bigger. We got back and stayed at what I think was Liuda's parents place (they weren't there though) and we checked out that city for a few more days and visited some more people and some more family that was in the city. Later on, Dima's dad met us (he was away on business) and then we all drove back to Prostejov in Czech Republic. I stayed there for another few days, and then had to plan to get to Vienna to catch my flight home.

Austria - Vienna (Österreich - Wien)

We had looked for a place to stay on the internet, and ended up booking a room at the Arcotel (which was a really nice hotel in Vienna). It was just me and Dima that took the train there (and it was just a few hours away). The hotel was reasonably priced at $100US for a night, which I think is about the same as in Canada, and I had the expectation for Europe to be much more expensive. Anyways, this was Dima's first time in a Western style hotel and he was quite impressed. Not only at the room but the facilities that they had (pool, jacuzzi, sauna, weight room, etc.) We checked out the city and got to see some great architecture, and went to some museums (I remember seeing Mozart's first violin and some funny armour). We stopped at a pub and had some food and drinks and reminisced about our trip. I bought some Mozart chocolates and a few postcards (one of Kaizer Franz-Joseph I for a friend of mine who really liked his moustache). We went back to the hotel and went out exploring a bit in the evening. We had the hotel set up the wakeup call as well as the timing for the breakfast, and in the morning everything went off great. They had a car waiting for me to take me to the airport (taxi) and Dima came with me and saw me off for my flight back home. I remember buying a Road & Track magazine which would normaly be like $3-4 in Canada, but it was like $10 or $15 at the Vienna Airport. So Europe can be quite expensive!

Well, that's basically it for my trip. It's just me 5 years later trying to remember what happened, but I think I did an alright job.
