someday I'll come back in winter and ski this place again. I should be a little more sure-footed than when I was 5. Hopefully this time I won't whipe out a ski-instruction class in the process of trying to get down the biggest hill I can find :)

September 23, 2003: A day in Luzern on the way to Venice
This will be a short one as I'm really low on battery power.
I had a great day yesterday in Frauenfeld with Iris and her boyfriend Daniel. Iris took me to lunch when I arrived, and then Daniel and I went out in his Ferrari 360 Modena. Man that things pulls like there's no tomorrow and it corners like you wouldn't believe. After almost an hour of driving he treated me to some rounds at the local karting track. Is it socially unacceptable to pass the guy paying for your lap tickets on his home track? It sure did take some effort to get around him though, and I think I had a bit of a weight advantage as he's built like me and is a foot or so taller.
After the karting we rejoined Iris in the apartment in the old city, where they served dinner for me. While we were having dinner my clothes were getting a desperately needed washing in their machines. After dinner Daniel and I both pulled out our car videos, him with some Ferarri club stuff and me with my Nurburgring footage and all of my fun crash videos :)
It was about midnight by the time the clothes were done and as I was getting ready to leave for my hostel, Iris gave me a sack with the makings for breakfast. (She had earlier made a reservation at the youth hostel and noticed it had a kitchen for me to cook for myself). I swear these two spoiled me rotten that day :) It was really really nice and I thanked them profusely.
