Woke up early on Tuesday morning and headed off to have desayuno at Bar Europa (same place as i had dinner last night). Despite being told they opened at 8am the kitchen wasn´t and so I was greeted with "lo siento" when i asked for eggs. The waiter could tell from my expression that I was a little disapppointed and so they decided that they would open it for me, which was a very nice gesture.<br />

Despite being told they opened at 8am the kitchen wasn´t and so I was greeted with "lo siento" when i asked for eggs. The waiter could tell from my expression that I was a little disapppointed and so they decided that they would open it for me, which was a very nice gesture.
I rushed back to my hotel to check-out so that i could make the 11am bus to Granada. All things went well, I thanked the staff for a pleasant stay and grabbed a taxi to the bus station which is at El Prado de San Sebastien. Traffic as always in Seville was chaotic but I made it in time and was able to buy a ticket for the bus and jump on for the ride to Granada.
Bus travel in Spain is very very good and its the best way to travel between cities and towns, particularly as the train service is only adequate at best.
The trip to Granada took a little over two and a half hours and it was a very comfortable trip. All the intercity buses in Spain are airconditioned and offer on-board movies. On my trip to Granada I had the pleasure of watching Bad Boys II - dubbed in Spanish of course!
I arrived in Granada at 3pm, promptly checked into my hotel, which is about five minutes away from the Cathedral and then went for a wander around town. On Wednesday I head off to the Alhambra, Granada´s most famous symbol and prized attraction.
Not only is the Alhambra the favoured destination for all tourists visiting Spain, its quite possibly the most popular destination in the whole of Europe with over two million visitors a year travelling to see it.
Dinner time and I headed to one of Granada´s most famous restaurants, Las Tinajas, whose menu borrows much from the cities Moorish tradition.
