Hi! Well, I have settled in quite well here. I am having a great time. Myself and my German friends went on a bus excursion all around East Devon. It was beautiful. There are miles of green fields stitched together with hedges. It's a horse's heaven. The hills remind me of Tennessee but are dotted with random ancient temples and beautiful toy-like homes. They look like little christmas ceramic villages when the lights come on at night. It seems everything happens inside in England, you must peek through the windows. The coast was just as I imagined, beautiful but grey. We rode the bus from twelve until eight at night for only £5! That's about ten bucks. I had my first fish and chips at a coastal town called Wheymouth. It was very greasy and delicious. =) I think I should steer clear of those because they can't possibly have any health value at all.

Yesterday I went to my first pub. WOHHHH (which I've learned is an international word after a crazy bus driver almost killed myself and the Germans several times) It was called Timepiece and has big heavy wooden tables and is quite dark. Upstairs there's another bar with dancing. It's odd seeing such young people at these places. I must say I had a blast. One interesting thing that I think is genius is that the liquor bottles hang upside down on the walls with spickets. It's so easy for the bartenders and spill free! I learned that girls don't drink Grolsch but Guinness and liquor. Groslch apparently has little bits of magnesium in it that cut your stomach to help you feel the effects sooner. That's a little scary to me. One difference between here and the states is that people go out earlier and come home earlier. Where as I usually would go out at eleven, we were coming home at this time! It almost felt unnatural, but a lot of things do.

As far as school goes (that is really why I'm here I must remind myself), I have to choose all new classes ...
