I with my father was invited to the conference about "Centuary of Discovery of the Electron" by Uzhgorod institute of electron physics during August of 1997. It was my first visit to Trans Carpathia region which is very interesting land. First, it's a mix of landscapes: mountains, forests and begining of Hungarian stepple. Second, it's a mix of nation and languages: Russians, Ukranians and old Slavic tribes from moutains (Rusins for example) mixed with Slovaks, Hungarians, Gipsy (nomadic and settled) and on the south there are ever a couple of Romanians villiages. The place is reach with mineral water, wineyards and fruits.

Pic 2: One can see from this photo how big and complicated is the fortification on the hill. The road climbs on the top of the hill by halfspiral and virtually each meter of it exposed to the fire from the walls of the castle. This castle viewed
