It consists of three parts – Little Wooden Town, Walachian Village and the Water Mill Valley. Local people declared this region “Walachian Kingdom“. Tens of cultural events take place there every year.
Wooden Town
The setting of the Wooden town roughly imitates the Rožnov square which boasted a number of local burghers’ timbered houses up to the second half of the 19th century. This place with rich history reaching back to 15th century gives every year several folklore festivals such as “Trnkobraní“ (plum harvest) or Cultural Summer of Alois Hába - a composer and musician, pioneer of a new music stream.
Vizovice Chateau
The original medieval monastery underwent reconstruction and today it is one of the best Baroque buildings in Moravia. It has gorgeous interiors in Baroque, Rococo, Empire and Biedermeier styles, and a splendid chateau picture gallery with Dutch masters. In the rooms you can find original furnishings and the chateau, which is a national cultural landmark, is surrounded by a park in French and English style.
