Legnica Public Library consists of scientific reading room, a library, 11 general branches, 2 branches for children and adolescents, one branch of musical collections and special collections and an Eco-library.
It has great book collections from various areas of knowledge and publications concerning the local region. The regional department collects books, periodicals and documents about the life in Legnica and the Lower Silesia Region.
The library is computerised and offers its readers access to the Internet (multimedia publications and encyclopaedias are also available). The library has electronic data base:
* Magazine Bibliographies,
* Bibliographic Guide,
* Amba Lex - a journal of acts of law
In 2001 in the headquarters of Legnica Public Library 'The Lodge' Gallery was opened.
