Legnica Culture Centre is a municipal institution propagating culture. Its main objectives are:

* to promote aesthetic education of children and adolescents,

* to organise concerts, festivals and various events in different fields of art.,

* to organise and promote amateur and professional artistic events,

* to stimulate local community's cultural needs and interests,

* services (organising dances and entertainment for children, leasing conference rooms etc.)

LCC was established in 1978. From the late 1979 on it is seated in the 18-th century building of Akademia Rycerska (knight's college).

Legnica Culture Centre organises a number of cyclic events on national and international scale:

* National Choir Tournament 'Legnica Cantat'

* The Organ Conversatorium famous for many premiere performances of contemporary organ music,

* Legnica Organ Evenings,

* International Exhibition of Satirical Drawings 'Satyrykon',

* Summer Film Academy - Animated Film Workshops,

The Ballroom Dancing Contest for 'the Golden Lion'

LCC addresses its offer mainly to young people: it helps adolescents join amateurish artistic groups ('Legnica' Dancing and Singing Group, 'Lew' Ballroom Dancing Club, 'Laterna Magica' Film Club, Song Studio etc), organises jazz, rock, pop and classical music concerts. It also holds art and photo exhibitions of professional and amateur artists.
