I dreamed about the fact that over half of the population of the world lives in Asia and I had flown over them for twelve hours checking out the huge mountains and cities from my aircraft window through incredible blue skies. It made for beautiful dreams and I slept very well.



Ah, Beautiful Qatar - I slept six blissful hours and met the management team at breakfast on Fri. morning. We scheduled my audit at the sites here for the next two days. Their weekend is Th-F, so I told them to go home to their families and we would just work longer hours on Sat-Sun. I went back to the Doha Sheraton Hotel and slept, sipped coffee on my balcony overlooking Doha and the Persian Gulf, wrote e-mails, and rolled about ten miles through gorgeous Doha and along the Persian Gulf (http://www.qatar-info.com/index.htm). The Sheik (grand sultan) hosted THE World Islamic Leader Conference this week right here in this hotel as it is one of the finest in the world. On Sat. morning, we went to work at our site where we guard millions of pieces of War Reserve in case we need to use it in the Middle East. Remarkably, the Honorable Mr. Cohen, US Secretary of Defense came to the same site I was at. Security was extremely strict of course, and he was pleased with the job we were doing there. We watched him via incredible infrared and night vision security cameras move throughout the compound. The time may be coming to use the equipment here - just watch CNN or read the front page of any newspaper. I was extremely careful in the area to try to reduce the chance of being harmed by anti-American terrorists who would love to get their hands on a US government contractor staff member. My luggage finally arrived at the hotel and I was able to change clothes - YES! The night before I left, I joined the program manager and his family at an Iranian restaurant on a veranda overlooking the Persian Gulf. We ate lamb, Arab vegetables, and mango juice.
