In God's Time - With one week home for July 4th, I celebrated by having sixty people over for fireworks, barbeque and fellowship. It was relaxing and fun but all too soon I was off for a two week trip to Wash. DC and Boston (w/Annapolis, MD squeezed between to see Jonathan). Then I was home for 36 hours before leaving for Muscat, Oman (Middle East). With such a short trip home, I was pushing it to make it back to the airport on time. The rule is to be at the airport three hours before an international flight. I arrived one hour early, yet I was calm. It was if the spirit of God was telling me everything was OK. I argued back that if I missed my flight, I would arrive in the Middle East a day late and important people were waiting on me. Once again God gave me a spirit of calmness. The parking express bus dropped me off terminal C rather than the terminal B (international flights). It took me half an hour to get a ride to the B terminal. The flight time was now just fifteen minutes away as I arrived at the ticket counter. I resigned to believing I had missed my flight. The line at the ticket counter was short but the line through security was at least a half hour long. Larry behind the counter looked at my ticket and then at his watch. He sped me through the ticket process, and another person sped me through the security line. It still looked like I was going to miss the flight and the ticket agent noticed I was stressed. He said, �everything is OK, the flight crew is late, so you are going to make it just in time. Besides, if you look at your ticket, I put you in first class, seat 1A, in order to speed things along. The other reason I put you in first class is because you are the nicest passenger I have worked with all day.� I thanked the ticket agent profusely and then thanked God for His timing!
