the city went out several times each night due to the terrible conditions, but the DynCorp building had a generator so in seconds, we had power again. As I watched the city in total darkness, I wondered who was being robbed or hurt at that very instant and prayed for them. I knew the only thing that separated me and people out there in the darkness was pure Grace. I am so thankful for a job that takes me around the world to work with high ranking government officials, the military, and some very smart people. It is only because I trust Christ with my decisions that I have the honor to work with such people. I am a picture of a sinner saved by Grace.




The Hatfields & McCoys of Kosovo:
I drove up to Metrovica one day, which is one of the most dangerous places in Kosovo. I had seen coverage on CNN back in the US of this very city. I was going there to see what I could do to see first hand how our employees were doing and see if there were ways we could make their job easier. Just days before, hundreds of people in mobs with stolen weapons and radios migrated in calculated precision in order to steal from the Serbs and shoot at their houses hoping to kill them. We were able to stop most of it, but this was just another day in Macedonia, today we win, tomorrow they would. My driver picked up the radio and said, "base this is Dale, carrying Package One." The base answered and said it was clear at the time and to proceed with caution. I asked him what he was talking about and he said, "you are package one since you are the highest ranking person here. You will understand the rest in a moment." Within five minutes, we went over a hill and I saw a bridge completely covered with barbed wire and UN soldiers from many countries. They carried oozies and hand-guns. They stopped us, checked our passports, stared at us as if we were aliens on a foreign planet (I agreed), then waved us through.
