train was filled with people that were encouraged that I never complained and had a smile permanently fixed on my face. Total strangers told us to keep it up. I told them I was thankful to be alive, for their help and for riding the train! What I learned and I�ll pass onto you is to do the best you can with the gifts God has given you, and when your strength fails, he�ll send people and even angels to your aid. For you see, I was not the inspiring part of the story, it was the kindness of total strangers that was inspiring. Are you skeptical of the state of human affairs � try the train � you�ll be encouraged!



The British Empire - I flew directly from New Delhi to London on a ten-hour all night flight, and flew again to Manchester, England. After being awake for almost thirty hours, I took the weekend off to see Northern England � one of the most beautiful places on earth. The leaves were changing colors into every hue of red, yellow, brown and green. In the background, the green rolling hills and cool air reminded me of our own New England States. The quaint homes reminded me of a Dickens Village set sitting on my hearth at home. The tree-filled hilly horizon with its blue skies looked like Vermont. On Monday, I was back to work refreshed and ready for new challenges. I worked ten-hour days, ate dinner with fellow employees and each morning I ate toast and blood pudding. My time was much too short and I hope to return in a few months to see new friends and beautiful mother England.



Fire Alarm! While in England at a nice hotel, I was deeply asleep and dreaming peacefully. Suddenly, I was awoken by a loud sound. It was the fire alarm! I glanced at the clock and it was 3:37 AM. I jumped out of bed, got dressed, grabbed my laptop and headed for the door. The hall was brightly lit and the alarm continued to blare. Unfortunately everyone else was ...
