if you look for the negative side, you�ll find that too.� They agreed - they also saw what a smile will do. I smiled at the waitress and told her she looked nice - it cost me nothing, yet made here whole day. For my kindness, she brought us fresh fruit, more coffee and Swiss Pastry. They began smiling at everyone too - try it - it works! A simple smile changed a tough trip into a wonderful one.



Indonesia, Malaysia, China and India� I left Melbourne (SE Corner of Australia) and flew NW across 4,000 miles through the heart of Australia � the home of only 20 million people (less than California alone). I was fascinated to watch the South Pacific paradise change to rugged plains, then into Desert (one of the largest in the world). There were also jungles filled with crocodiles and water buffalo. Six hours later we flew over the South Pacific Ocean filled with the gorgeous islands of Indonesia and Malaysia. Many of the Islands were seemingly uninhabited, while others were covered with buildings, homes and enormous harbors. After the ten-hour flight we landed on the Worlds most crowded Island � Hong Kong. I had a four-hour layover so I looked around quickly before departing China (the most populated country on earth). Then after another six-hour flight, I landed in India, the second most populated country and a land caught between two times � ancient and modern. It seemed so strange to watch TV shows like Friends and Will and Grace with remnants of this ancient culture lining the landscape. While most of the World is Muslim, Buddhist or Christian, this is the center of Hinduism (reincarnation to other life forms based upon the outcome of one�s current life). However, the wealthy Western cultures are slowly changing Asia into what most economists estimate will be the largest GNP based upon the enormous supply and demand potential.
