burrito. However, the most memorable meal was a Japanese meal that my host and friend (Rusty and his beautiful wife) bought me. It consisted of RAW eel, octopus, squid, sushi, lobster, muscles, clams, tuna and hot sauces. Some of it was so fresh we joked it reacted to our utensils - little did we know it probably did. The main course was a large red fish that was still moving and twitching with it�s own raw meat laying on top. I kid you not - we were eating a LIVE fish! It was not my favorite - but I�ll never forget it. What was really funny was that the staff kept coming out to watch our reaction to our meal then went back to the kitchen to laugh at our western idea of a meal. Later that night we met at McDonalds!
God helps in a miracle re-route - On the final morning in Korea we rose at 4AM and Rusty took us to the airport for my next leg of the trip to the Middle East. However, literally on the two-hour drive to the Seoul airport, I had to change destinations from Saudi Arabia to Kosovo due to a problem with my visa. At one point I was talking into two international phones simultaneously as Rusty raced for the airport to catch an earlier flight. Once we arrived at the airport a ticket agent directed me around the very lengthy international travel lines to make my flight. Meanwhile, my travel agent re-booked me to Macedonia and the first stop on the 42 hour journey was the Philippines where I was to pick up my ticket at the Singapore Airline Ticket Counter. After the three hour flight - guess what - no ticket! I was told I would have to re-book my entire ticket two days later on Monday and to come back to the Manila airport then. I said a prayer and soon I was taken to the Cathay Pacific Office to discuss my options for Monday. A wonderful Philippino woman by the name of Aya took my plight as her personal mission and got on the phone. She would not give up and after three hours of fighting airline
