The Resort
Sandals Negril was a beautiful, if compact resort. From the brochures and website, it seemed like a large, sprawling complex. But actually, it was quite tightly laid-out -- handy when you wanted to get from activity to activity, but also meant it was prone to be noisy more often than not. Music was piped in all over the grounds (classical in the a.m.; reggae in the p.m.), and every night had a thumping top-40 disco or a cover band playing in the main stage. The music sometimes lasted till 3am, and we could hear it from our room.
The first morning we did an orientation tour, which was handy to get the lay of the land. There were two pools, a full-service spa, three bars, a water sports area, a gift shop, a dive/snorkel station, pool tables, and tons of other stuff we never got to. You can also take various tours, from shopping to jungle climbs. Tours and the spa cost extra -- we ended up spending about $500 to $750 more, including the shopping for souveniers.

Sandals' room service was pretty good and relatively fast, although the menu was limited, and breakfast was only available until 10am.
The weather overall was great both times. Sunny and warm all day, every day. It was incredibly
