This is quite possibly one of the hardest intro sentance i've had to write. Maybe it's because i'm running out of clever intro sentances, or maybe it's because there's a large muslim prayer taking place right outside my window. Or maybe, and most likely, it's because morroco is quite possibly my favourite destination of this entire trip.
Morocco and Marakesh. I've been had.

out tea was conveniantly held in the morrocan rug show room complete with a well spoken morrocan man that tried his hardest to ensure we left with rugs.
He used lines like:
"A house without a rug is like a garden without flowers"
"I am a cry'er you see, if you leave without a rug i will be very sad. I might cry"
(In respect to pulling us in off the street in order to sell to us, as opposed to just yelling at us from the street) "As my father always say, it is better to have one bird in the hand, than two in the bush"
The list goes on, but the man gets points for being so poetic. It's not possible to convey how hard this man tried to make us leave with even the smallest rug. We reluctantly got the point across that, no, we did not want any rugs. He left the room rather frusterated, but we continued to have tea with the original man, who invited us in. After about 20 minutes and some dwindling broken english conversations later, we took off back into the market.
Where I once again spent too much money. It's
easy to spend money in a country that is so cheap, because you go wild. You think "i'd spend way more at home" and so you buy more, and you end up spending the same amount, or more, on stuff you dont really need.
That night we hung out with our german friends and got dinner. It's also worth mentioning that we met two other people at the train station, Rich and Clair. I didn't originally mention them because they didn't carry much weight before, but now they're coming with us to the sahara and probably to fes. It's safe to say that our crew is now 6 strong.
Speaking of the sahara, it's one hour until we board a sketch bus that will take over 12 hours to reach a destination that should only take 6. Erg Chebbi is where we're headed, and it's where we'll try and find a guide to take us into the desert and spend a night. After that we'll make our way to Fes, which will probably be on another sketch bus that will take way to long.
I just realized i've been spelling morocco wrong the whole time. And i'm way to lazy to fix it.
