It has an area of 137,6 square kilometres and consists of 19 villages. Two important communication routes cross the municipality : an international road E 40 and a railroad Zgorzelec - Medyka. The Municipality of Dębica has the biggest population among the rural minicipalities in the Podkarpackie Voivodeship The total population 24 thousand. It has an area of 137,6 square kilometres and consists of 19 villages. Two important communication routes cross the municipality : an international road E 40 and a railroad Zgorzelec - Medyka. A highway is planned.

Owing to the numerous activities undertaken by the municipal self-government , Wójt and the local community a series of investments was carried out. All inhabitants have an access to a telephone network and gas piping. 60% households are connected to the sewage system, 70% have water supply. The priorities of the municipality are education and ecology. As one of the first in the country, the Municipality of Dębica resolved the problem of communal wastes managment. A modern complex for wastes sorting and utilization offers services to six neighbouring municipalities. Further strategic investments are planned for the coming years, for example : reactivation of health resort in Latoszyn and making use of therapeutic water springs existing there, completion of the plan for gymnasium in every school, water supply in the hummocky area, sewage system, investments for improving public and health safety.

Good geographical location, convenient communication options, well developed technical infrastructure, human and industrial potential, modern managment of wastes create great chances for further development of industry, tourism and ecological agriculture.
