and we had a great time despite of the weather.
Sods law, good weather the day we left, but at least it was also OK when we got back to Rarotonga. Once we got back though things changed and got quiet between us, I am not sure why, maybe we just told each other everything about our lives and just run out of conversation. We are off to Fiji tonight, will have to see whether we stay together for another week or whether we go our separate ways…

6/4/03 Pacific Safari Club, Pacific Harbour, Fiji
For the fist time on this trip (no, first time since Airlie Beach, Australia) I feel sick and it sucks. No energy, did not sleep, can't be asked talking to people, actually avoid people because I know conversation would not carry. But back to where I ended the last entry…
Arrived with Katja around midnight just a week ago, major trauma as she had a booking for a nice hotel but it was for the week before. The following morning, after three hours of arguing we finally got confirmation that we did not have to pay for the room again, though in the end it came as a bit of a surprise.
Got the bus down to Pacific Harbour and the next two days with Katja were, well, a bit strange. We did not really talk, I tried, but with not much success, silent dinner, I never really asked what was wrong. I know I should have and when she left to fly on to some of the outer islands I was sad to see her go, but also happy to be on my own for a while.
A bit about Pacific Safari Club, the place where we were staying: it has ten big clean rooms, two to five beds in each room, air-con, TV, kitchen, all at budget prices, also use of the facilities of the four star hotel across the road and entertainment by the owner Tony.
