Unfortunately the beautiful restaurant where we had dinner seems to have been a trojan horse, as I am up all night on the loo, and in the morning Ken seems to have the same trouble. We suspect the prawns, as it is the only thing we both ate.
It turns out that although he had found a place that does wheels for Discos last night, he hadn't been able to actually get the job done, so, despite his upset tummy and lack of sleep, Ken is up early to go and get it fixed. By nine he is back, and we head off back up our 250Km detour, stopping at ShopRitre for buns and biscuits (Romany Creams, the equivalent of English Gypsy Creams, have been our favourites, but now we discover Chok-Kits, which are even better!)
The road south is good and we make good time, arriving in Vilanculos late afternoon. Mark, bless him, has let me have his turn in the front and I sleep most of the way.
In Vilanculos we head for the campsite on the beach (and I head for the loo). We were expecting to camp, but the site now also has chalets, and Ken says they will not upset his budget, so we opt for these.
I have eaten nothing all day but a handful of fruit and some nuts, but I can't face dinner and go to bed at 7:30. The other are not far behind me - even Ken is in bed by 9. I have to get up in the night (and scare the pants off Mark who is woken by this huge naked form bending over him - I couldn't find the torch. His terrified gibbering even wakes Blondie and Chris next door), but I still get 10 hours sleep and feel a good deal better for it.
