Islands, islands and more idyllic islands. There are over seven thousand islands in the Philippines. The most well known, and one of the most beautiful, is Boracay island, situated just off Panay, Visayas. Borocay is just seven km's long with a stretch of the finest white sand, the most crystal clear turquoise water I have ever seen and hundreds of tall, picturesque palm trees.

do on a paradise island? Finally after about an hour and half she psd off.

Overheated, sweaty, irritable, hungry and tired we finally came across Nigi Nigi Nu Noos. In my opinion, it's the best accommodation for the price by far(and we had scoured most of the island). Set on White Beach, it is as central as you can get. The 'bungalows', set in lush jungle gardens with little pathways, are beautifully decorated, built from indigenous materials in a traditional style, with good size balconies, big comfy beds, aircon/fan and hot water. It is owned and run by an american couple, service is sharp and prices are reasonable. We paid 1100p per nightand the seventh night was free. There is an internet cafe and and excellent restaurant and bar with a great atmosphere.

What we got up to and suggested things to do
Hire a motorbike and ride around the island (4hours +-500p)
Hire catamaran style boat(ones with blue sails) and sail around island for half a day. Excellent. Stops at good snorkelling spots and also goes out into the sea where it becomes pretty choppy.
Pickles and fresh salmon lunch with a bottle of South African wine at Aloja delicatessan(near the hospital - slightly inland)
Wander through market
Massage by one of the local women (+-150p)

Dive Course
We did our open water padi and advanced courses with Calypso Diving School. They really were excellent and I can highly recommend them. The instructors are professional and know the waters and diving spots off the back of their hand. Calypso is the only school on Boracay where one can start learning in a swimming pool. All the others use the sea, which means one is dependent on weather, tides etc. We did both courses with Andrew Greenspan, who has been instructing there for around two years.

Good day! I saw your site when I was browsing the Internet for people who love the Philippines.

My name is LAR and I'm a Filipino. I made a site to promote the beautiful island nation of the Philippines through pictures, and I am currently inviting anybody, Filipino or not, who visited/travelled the Philippines to help build my 'Photographic Profile' page.

If you have some time to answer a few questions and share some pictures of your favorite places in the Philippines, I will create a profile for you on my site. Through this, I aim to help more travelers, photographers and people get in touch with each other and publicly share information about the Philippines.

Please visit www.philtravelphotos.com for more information.

Thank you for your time and I truly hope to hear from you. Best regards!

Welcome to the beautiful Philippines!
