Islands, islands and more idyllic islands. There are over seven thousand islands in the Philippines. The most well known, and one of the most beautiful, is Boracay island, situated just off Panay, Visayas. Borocay is just seven km's long with a stretch of the finest white sand, the most crystal clear turquoise water I have ever seen and hundreds of tall, picturesque palm trees.

playing with each others hair and imitating mine, which takes a lot of work (2 hour motorbike ride, dirt, sweat) to get it to this state of perfection!"

Getting closer to Iloilo City, on the left we pass dense, dark green, untouched jungle with the odd house but mostly uninhabited for miles. The ferry fare across takes 15 minutes. To board the boat one has to wade through the water, which can reach almost waist height, but never fear ..they have guys there who will sling you over their shoulder and carry you like a sack of potatoes! On the boat we got chatting to some really friendly women and then realised once we stepped off the boat just what they were after. They want to sell their accommodation, which is fine, but if you're not interested in their place they will follow one around ceaselessly. If the a hotel manager of another place sees them with you he will charge about 200p per night higher(commission). Eventually we resorted to sitting down and having a drink to wait for her to leave, but alas, what else was there for her to ...

Good day! I saw your site when I was browsing the Internet for people who love the Philippines.

My name is LAR and I'm a Filipino. I made a site to promote the beautiful island nation of the Philippines through pictures, and I am currently inviting anybody, Filipino or not, who visited/travelled the Philippines to help build my 'Photographic Profile' page.

If you have some time to answer a few questions and share some pictures of your favorite places in the Philippines, I will create a profile for you on my site. Through this, I aim to help more travelers, photographers and people get in touch with each other and publicly share information about the Philippines.

Please visit www.philtravelphotos.com for more information.

Thank you for your time and I truly hope to hear from you. Best regards!

Welcome to the beautiful Philippines!
