Islands, islands and more idyllic islands. There are over seven thousand islands in the Philippines. The most well known, and one of the most beautiful, is Boracay island, situated just off Panay, Visayas. Borocay is just seven km's long with a stretch of the finest white sand, the most crystal clear turquoise water I have ever seen and hundreds of tall, picturesque palm trees.

any kids. He cames from a family of ten, his mother is only 45 years old! How's that for efficient production. The government is trying to educate the people about contraception but it is proving difficult with the majority of the population being catholic. The hills are dotted all over the countrside like big scoops of chocolate ice cream.

At the top, while discussing if we should(now that we had seen the spectacle) move on, we met 2 Slovenian couples. They were about the same age, really friendly - the first Slovenians either of us have met. We had supper and a few San Miguels with them and talked about south african history and the serb/croat war. Really interesting.

The plan for the next morning was to go up to the viewpoint at 6.30am and view the sunrise over the hills. We woke to a grey misty, drizzly morning, the view was not great and we had to then call off our ride around the countryside with local motorbike riders. Decided to head straight for Carmen by motorbike (50p 2 people) to catch the bus to Tubigon, but the ride was so comfortable that we gave in to the driver and he took us the whole way(1 and half hours). So, we filled up with petrol, tied the one backpack onto the back and I wore the other one, Mark climbed on in the middle and off we ...

Good day! I saw your site when I was browsing the Internet for people who love the Philippines.

My name is LAR and I'm a Filipino. I made a site to promote the beautiful island nation of the Philippines through pictures, and I am currently inviting anybody, Filipino or not, who visited/travelled the Philippines to help build my 'Photographic Profile' page.

If you have some time to answer a few questions and share some pictures of your favorite places in the Philippines, I will create a profile for you on my site. Through this, I aim to help more travelers, photographers and people get in touch with each other and publicly share information about the Philippines.

Please visit www.philtravelphotos.com for more information.

Thank you for your time and I truly hope to hear from you. Best regards!

Welcome to the beautiful Philippines!
