Last August I visited Boston, USA. Before I left I joined the site eatwithalocal.com and through the site I got hold of a member who was willing to cook my family and I a meal when we were in Boston. We exchanged emails before I left and on arriving called on them in their lovely home on the outskirts of the city.
Mickayla and Stephen and their little boy Joseph gave us a warm welcome and we sampled local home made food. We found we had lots in common and they were able to give us plenty of tips on what to do and see in Boston.
I would recommend this site to anyone who wants to experience something different on holiday, make friends and get an insight into the culture of a country.
