Sabie
From Hazyview I moved north by "black taxi" to Sabie as a first step to visiting the renowned sights of East Transvaal. On the way up here I passed Sture pumping uphill on his bike. Sture is one of these remarkable individuals with the ambition to go around the world on a bicycle. And he is doing it!
We were going to the same place, Jock of the Bushveld Hostel, so I settled in and waited for him to fix a great Braai on one of the fireplaces on the left. We enjoyed it with a bottle of good South African wine which was even better because it was illegal to buy wine on Sunday (we had to beat our gums to get it but it was worth it).
We had a good deal here. We shared one of the cabins on the right in the previous photo and had the use of this nice pool for only 7 US$ each!
Graskop
Two old ladies gave me a lift to Graskop where I was picked up by an American couple, Bob and Shellan from Hillsboro California who wanted to see the same places I did.
East Transvaal
I chose to add this shot because it shows the Mozambique lowlands on the horizon beyond the mountains.
Once again I was pretty lucky, Rob and Shellan brought me back to Sabie and Sture and I had another great Braai, this time with two bottles of wine!
