I've finally got internet up in my room! The tech guy LITERALLY walked away two minutes ago. And here I am, posting a new entry in my journal for the sole purpose of your enjoyment, enlightenment, and overall mental well-being. How thoughtful of me!

track lamps on the ceiling, one fluorescent strip behind a wood panel. One desk lamp. One telephone. One fan mounted on the wall. One skylight. One door/window which opens onto a small balcony, shared with the room next to mine. One closet. One set of shelves by desk. One mirror (with secret compartment behind for valuables). One white board and tack board. One Ethernet outlet with chord. One double-sided electric converter. One heater. One bed. One sliding convenience desk. One clothes rack. One lucky American boy.
Overall, my room is nicer than any I've had at Amherst. Although it is a bit smaller than your typical single there, it is right across from the bathroom, is cozy looking, and has good lighting to boot! Hallelujah! I'm pleased, to say the least.
Saturday Evening:
So after I put the stuff in my room, we all went
out and got totally trashed. Just kidding. We did walk down the street a bit to a pub called Steve's, which was totally deserted except for us. Evidently the Uni community picks a place to go every night (Cottesloe beach, or Subiaco, or Northridge, etc) and everyone goes there. So we went to Steve's one night too late, evidently. Anyway, it was fun for us to recoup after all the travel, have some refreshing beverages of an alcoholic nature and watch strange sports on television. We came home around midnight and collapsed. I slept for about twelve hours.
Sunday July 10th:
When I woke up, we all (the Trinity folks) met up to catch a bus into the city to do some shopping. Perth is great! It has a nice shopping district, with two main outdoor mall areas, filled with lots of people and shops in every direction. I bought some sheets for my bed and a towel at Target (good ole American Target) as well as a few other necessities, like laundry detergent and a phone card. I split off from the group in search of an alarm clock (I left mine at Grampians like an idiot) and lost track of everyone. I got
