I've finally got internet up in my room! The tech guy LITERALLY walked away two minutes ago. And here I am, posting a new entry in my journal for the sole purpose of your enjoyment, enlightenment, and overall mental well-being. How thoughtful of me!

me of mama in the way she looks around at us for understanding and affirmation), Jonathan (he's on crutches right now because he tore his Achilles tendon right before the trip. A really nice guy, good space filler in conversation. Has a reasonable head on his shoulders.) There's also a girl who lives in Currie hall who is from Vandy, but I've already forgotten her name. I can tell already that I'm not going to be seeing any Butler kids who don't live in Trinity much. Oh well. Also in Currie is a kid named Chip (goes to a military sort of college in Vermont, I think. He and I belayed each other for the
rock climbing trip; he was great about shouting out support for the climbers and boosting group morale. Another modest, earnest guy. I'm sorry he doesn't live in Trinity because I'd like to hang out with him more), a slightly obnoxious alpha male named Marc (goes to Wesleyan), and a few other people that I can't recall. Just a group of friendly and open students- I'm impressed that the Civ. students from Vandy all made it here, because their course requirements are strict-they had to do a bit of wrangling to be allowed to come. I'm lucky in that I can pretty much take whatever classes I like, aside from the two required Psychology classes that make up units for my major.
So, we got to the Perth airport two nights ago after a much anticipated cross country flight. We chucked our stuff into the buses, walked around the wrong side to get in (all the buses have entry steps on the left b/c the roads are like Britain's) and had a pointing competition of sorts as we passed the sights of Perth on the way to Uni. We dropped off the Currie kids and arrived at Trinity College, home
sweet home. After a short dinner in the dining hall, we were taken to our rooms.
