We get out of Vietnam without starting our own war and find a new appreciation for the decompression chamber that is Bangkok. We meet Jude who's already checked into the D&D Inn on Koh Sahn (Blackpool) Road. After finding out the proce of the room I gasp "Jesus this is expensive!" while Jude's thinking "Jesus this is cheap!!" So we'll be moving place tomorrow. The best thing about the place is the roof top swimming pool which is open til 2am!! We show Jude Blackpool Road and then buy beers from the 7/11 to drink overlooking Bangkok in the 2 ft pool. Even Barrymore couldn't stub his fags out in that depth!! The evening is made all a little better with a bottle of the finest grade 12 drink of the gods, the one and only Buckfast fortified tonic wine....fantastic!!

relaxing. We get 3 bungalows right on the beach with the water no more than 100 yards from the front door, great for a morning hangover cure. The bars on the beach take it in turns to have parties and the build up to Full Moon is getting good. Theres a fire show most nights and a ring of fire at one bar. Jay-elsabub decides he'll have a dive through, thinks again, has an other beer then goes for it. Pity he finished off on his back with his ankle on fire!! No swimming for Jay for a bit. We meet a couple of English guys - Technical Ben formally known as Ben and Craig the wing man. Sound guys and always entertaining. The Full Moon party was mad, we bumped into Susie and Adele who are now Full Moon veterans, got painted up, sank a few buckets and danced about at the Drum and Bass part of the beach. Phil went off one one of his wanders and woke up face first in the sand being lifted by two Thai girls, while Craig was off trying to charge Giraffe tax for the masses. Ben thought he saw Phil and rugby tackled him while Jude kicked him up the arse, only to find they'd just assalted a random bloke. Eventually me and Jay made our way to the boat - well I had to give him a piggy
back through the water cos of his foot - and I passsed out. The next couple of days were spent recovering and preparing for for the trip to Ko Tao.
We only spent 2 days in ko Tao as Emmet was itching to do some diving as the rest of us were. We'd made the decision to hold off until the Perhenthian islands in Malaysia to do our PADI course and also to hijack Jay and Jude to come along. We spent a day doing some snorkling and not much else really. We spent a night in Had Yai in the very south of Thailand and missed some car bombs by a couple of days, aaaahhhhh, just like home!! We didn't have anything to do with any Military coup either just to answer some peoples questions!! Onwards and upwards, well downwards to Malaysia!!
