Amazingly, we have been back in the UK for 14 weeks now. I have worked for 13 !!! 1/4 of a year. It has been a shock to the system to say the least.
We live in a place in Putney, which is nice, we have nothing across the road, just parkland and the road is really quiet as it is a dead-end road, but still, I have manage to have been run over by a car !!!
The highlight of living here is we are a seven minute walk away from the spot where Marc Bolan died. Just in case you don't know, his girlfriend was driving a mini, and it came over a hill, through two concrete poles and into a tree. He was killed instantly, two weeks short of his 30th birthday. Today, is the anniversary of his death. Slightly morbid, but we went for a walk to commemorate/commiserate. Up at the spot where he died, there is now a memorial for him. A statue, a gravestone, a board with pictures and the tree.
And as the year is now getting later, it is also getting colder, and I am not ready for another British winter...
