A Return to the Hill

bit hard considering the majority of this ride, we were using first and second. I think I hit third four times in 30 K's !!! The vegetation was just a huge forest with massive spiders web with large spiders. A couple of times, Lucy made me stop as she was sure she had one crawling on her. As it had been raining loads, there were huge puddles which would cover over half of the wheels. It would have been near impossible to bring a small bike up here. 2/3's of the way up we stopped at our first French Villa. It was art deco style and the views from the balcony back out to the coast were awesome. As I looked over and up to the left, I could see where we were headed was covered in thick cloud. This was going to get interesting. We took off, and the light mist turned to dense fog. We slowed a little, this made Lucy happier, and 10 K's later, we were at the top, and the fog cleared slightly, and the casino appeared in front of us. A huge building which was abandoned by the French. We went in and had a look around. From the balcony, occasionally the fog would clear and we could see other buildings, but I never saw the Church. In one of the old guestrooms, someone had written, "Posh and Becks Were Here" !!! Not as original as the graffiti I was looking for. We moved on back to the bikes, and the wind came in, and the Church appeared. We rode up to it, and I ran in like a small child, and there it was, the graffiti I was looking for. "Davros, Sydney, 3/7/00". And for you people who cannot read a date correctly, that is the 3rd of July, 2000. My proof, that your favourite Uncle, Uncle Davros has been here before. So I did what any normal tourist would do, I added, "22/05/06, Davros". Will I attempt the hattrick in 6 more years !!! So Lucy added her signature to go with it. Shan followed suit. We rode over to another building, which Shan's man said was an old hospital. It kind of looks like one, with all the rooms, but the LP ...
