Spit Roast, Indian Style

moved onto the next one, and even though there had been some restoration, this was covered with the same sculptures !!! The third temple, was not in good condition, so we moved onto the fourth temple, which was a just a set of columns. However, there was a group of kids playing cricket, but they were all a bunch of chuckers. Lucy tried to explain how to bowl, and I gave them a demo. They were impressed, and after bowling two or three of them, it was my turn to bat. After scoring a backyard century, I was finally bowled by a kid who could be India's future spinning king !!!
The Jain Temples
Never having been in a Jain temple before, I did not know what to expect, but from a distance, you could see that they were built in a similar manner. Up close revealed,as usual, silicon everywhere !!! You could not escape it. Surprisingly, there were some lovely little sculptures in the bottom cornices of elephants head. It was nice walking around, as there were not many tourists here. It did surprise us as this is one of India's major tourist attractions.
Southern Group
The first temple was under going massive restoration. There was the usual silicon and hand groping that we had been seeing. As we walked around, a guy tried to hit us up for an entrance fee, considering that these sets of temples are free, we both told him to fuck off. As we moved towards the next temple, we walked through an old village, and we saw something that we had not yet experienced in India. Cleanliness !!! The village was so so clean, but once through to the otherside, it was back to the same old India, complete with a child shitting in the field in front of us. The last temple for the day, was miles away, well, actually, only a couple of K's, but miles always does sound better. Once there, the temple had been totally restored.
