As we were now going higher, they do state that you should have a rest day to acclimatise. Everyone chooses Manang, and being a bit of a sheep, we went with the crowd. It was also good, as we had a bit of a sleep in. Well we did try, but when you go to bed every night at 20:00, you do tend to wake rather early. We had words with Marco, to see what he was going to do, and he was going to go back to Braga to look at the Monastery, we, on the other hand, decided to climb a hill that was behind our hotel, which gave you great views of a lake and also Gangapurna glacier. We packed some water and set out on our little walk. Down we went, over a bridge, and then up. The track was well defined for the first 15 minutes, and then we hit snow and ice. It was also very slippery, so we took our time and eventually made it to the top. The view was great, so we sat at the only cafe having black tea and yak cheese, which tasted like emental !!! We walked around, taking it all in, and then the scene changed. A couple of other guys made there way up to the top. One was from the US, and the other an Argentinian. We said hello, and then made our way back down. It was a lot harder going down, so it took quite a while, and there were many brown stain moments !!! Once down, we had lunch, and then the sun went down, so we accepted our cold fate, and waited for dinner. Once we had eaten, we went to bed, as we arranged to have dinner at 06:30, as we were back on the road again tomorrow
Breakfast - Porridge
Lunch - Thupka with Veges
Dinner - Fried Noodles and Potato Curry
