No matter how many night buses I catch, I will never get used to them, and we knew we had to get to Budapest via Zagreb, and it was to be a night bus, I was slightly hesitant, but hey, this is nearly Europe, so it had to be better than anything is South East Asia, or you would hope so !!!!!

Well, we thought we were getting on a coach, but it turned out to be bigger than a mini bus but smaller than a coach. We grabbed a seat, and there was no legroom, so I knew I was going to be in trouble !!!!!

I really did try to sleep with my knees around my head, but it just didn`t work, so I ended up with bad knees and a really sore neck/head as the chair was basically just fucking bloody uncomfortable !!!

Thankfully, we arrived at 06:00, so we dumped our bags in left luggage and hit the streets. Now, I really didn`t know what to expect of Zagreb, but it was really clean and very European. Once the Tourist Office opened, we grabbed a map and there were two walking tours. We did the old one, which took in the Cathederal and old town walls, Didn`t get any photos as they were covered in scaffold, so we walked around just admiring the place. Eventually, we arrived at a church, and the roof had the Croatian coat of arms and the Zagreb coat of arms, painted onto the roof. Can`t remember the name of it as I have seen so many churches in the last three weeks !!!!! Around the corner was an old funicular. To tight to go on it, so we walked down beside it.

First tour was now over, so we went on the second.

This was mainly around the old museum and park area. The museums were all situated around Tito square, so they were easy to find. That was all there really was to see in the town, so we grabbed some tickets and headed for Budapest

Realistically, it was not long enough, but it did give us a taste, and it would be good to come back to this capital
