Bones, beers and concrete

We were headed towards Lagos, down on the coast, but we decided to take the long way round via Evora. This was a walled city with a cathedral, the only reason though we were going there was for the Chapel of bones. Everything inside was covered or made of human bones. Bells, light shades, it even had some full skeletons hanging from the wall. It was over 42 degrees here, so we had a quick look and then moved on. The heat was getting to me. It was making me tired, so I found a shopping centre with an espresso bar. Two shots later, I was fully loaded and we hit the road again. We made our way to Lagos, this was meant to be or used to be a sleepy village on the corner of Portugal. We drove up to the campground, got a space and realised that the ground here was indeed harder than concrete, so Melanie would be sleeping in the van and not in the tent. Oh well. We went for a walk around the old town. Loads of bars and restaurants here, the bars were mainly set up for the young tourists. Seven Deadly sins. Do seven shots and get a free shirt. Joe’s Garage, two amongst the numerous. It seemed like a try hard Ibiza, not that I had been to Ibiza, just from seeing on TV. On the other hand, the beaches were nice, and there were some good secluded bays. Anyway, we only hung here for two days, and then it was time to move on. Seville was calling and we wanted to go.
