Mombasa is the second biggest city in Kenya that lies in Africa. It is located on the Indian Ocean. Mombasa has a huge port and also an International Airport which was named as the Moi International Airport. This city is the hub of the coastal tourism industry. The original name of this city is Manbasa which is called in Arabic language. This city has one more name in Swahili which is called as Kisiwa Cha Mvita or in short it is called as Mvita and the meaning of this name is "Island of War". Due to a number of changes in the ownership of the city, it was named like this.
