Starting to get bored.

Yes, I know it's a sinful thing to say when you're on the otherside of the world, enjoying the good life, but I think I'm starting to loose direction. It doesn't help that I havn't got a job and the weather is overcast and cold. Think I need to figure out what I'm doing here: The original plan was to work for 3 months then do Taz, then travel up the East coast to Cairns, catch a lift to Cape Tribulation, fly to Darwin, jump on a tour to Uluru and finally fly back to Sydney by the 1st Aug to catch my connection to Bali.

Starting to get bored.

Yes, I know it's a sinful thing to say when you're on the otherside of the world, enjoying the good life, but I think I'm starting to loose direction. Just writing it down has improved my mood - at least there's a vague plan! The problem is I'd planned to do that over two months, which means setting off on the 1st May, which gives me 51 days. This obviously means any IT contract I get can't be more than a months work and somewhere in that tinme I would like to do Taz; preferably with a travel companion - someone to share car hire costs with. Although I may get more shifts at Groovetrain Cafe, it's not certain and it will only serve to pay for a couple of days accomodation each shift, which is better than nothing but not really worth hanging around for...Hmmmm....Decisions...Decisions....

I think I need to draw up a budget and talk to some travel agents, pickup some flyers, etc....

Costs from 1st May:
2months accom. (approx $25 per day) = $1525
Food and Drink (approx $30er day) = $1830
Flights from Cairns to Darwin = $300?
Flight from Uluru to Sydney = $500?
Tour from Darwin to Uluru = $400?
Surf school, snorkling, etc = $700?

V. Rough estimate = $5255

and that's not including the 51days I've got till 1st May, which could add on another $2805, meaning a total of around $8060 (3265 pounds) !!! Hmmm, I need to see how close my estimations are and whether Taz is even possible...back to the travel agents I think...
