It's been a fair few years since I've grazed my knees, but I trudged out of the water, feeling like I'd been in a cold fast spin cycle: bloody knees, red-raw arms, cramp in my legs, but hey, none of that matters when you've had the experience of standing up on a surf board - even if it was only for 10 seconds!
