Dynamite! Mike went on a tour of the Potosi mines, and the first stop was the miner's market to buy everything you need to blow things up.

Mike of the mines. A tight fit, I'm sure.

From Uyuni to Potosi Mike took about a hundred pictures out the bus window on this trip. The road was terrible and I was sick, so they don't bring back nice memories.

Bolivian miners looks like fun, eh?

peices of eight! At the museo de la moneda. They used to make all the coins of the Spanish empire here. Now Bolivia buys it's coins from spanish mints. Go figure.

how many donkeys does it take to flatten a silver ingot? Like about 8. They had 4 of these machines, brought from spain and powered by donkeys, to flatten silver to make coins.

downtown Potosi Nice yellow building. The traffic cops all seemed to be about 16 years old, so it was mostly caos.

Museo de la moneda The old mint. No coins are made here now, but it still manages to make money. Really a very good museum.

Fresh squeezed street orange juice These guys are everywhere in Bolivia, and i'm sure going to miss them.

Foozball!! Mike and i dicovered these kids playing in a park and mike challenged them to a game, much to the amusement of the other park-goers. There was a four year old girl will a screw driver whose job it was to keep the balls coming without having to put money in and she took her job very seriously.

Marching musicians There was a large parade of different bands of musicians with different costumes which ended right in front of us. These guys were nicely arrainged for a "real" photographer. I think they were protesting something, but it may have all just been for fun.
