Just got back from Bewjuu (a town on Zanzibar island) this afternoon. We left Stone Town yestereday morning and drove to Jezani Forest. We first had a little info session on the forest and the conservation of it. Then we walked a little bit to an area that usually has Zanzibar Red Backed Colobus Monkeys. There were quite a few of them and they were sooooooo cute! =). There were babies jumping from branch to branch pretty much at eye level. Some monkeys even used Gabi's head as a go between. After that we went for a walk through the forest. It was soooo beautiful! Some of the trail got pretty muddy and it was intertaining to see how everyone's shoes looked like at the end=). The trees were so amazing. Took lots of pictures, so I'll have to show you all once I get home (and I'll post em online). After the walk we hoped back in the bus and headed to the mangrove swamp. That was really neat and we ate lunch in the middle of em all. It was very peaceful.

After lunch we climbed back into the bus and continued on to Bwejuu. It didn't take us too long to get there. We drove a long the beach for a while. It was picture perfect. There were palm trees that lined the beginning of the beach and the water was so many different shades of blue and turquois. I loved it. We got to the guest house and immediately dropped our stuff in the rooms and went to lie on the beach. Unfortunately it had been nice and beautiful when we arrived and when we went out on the beach the sun was hiding behind a very big cloud. We all figured we'd get rained on but it held off for quite a while. It was so nice to just kick back and read on the beach. Dinner was so so there. After dinner we watched some traditional dancing and drumming on the beach around a fire. What a way to end the night =)
