Blah blah, soggy camera, worked for a bit. Then it started getting lazy. Now screwed and winging its way back to England for a bit of TLC. Having trouble connecting my disposables to the computer while I wait for a new one to be posted out to me here.

Anyway, so, where was I? Fresh out of Xela and filled to bursting point with Spanish. Knowing only too well the virtues of language consolidation, the most sensible thing to do here was to head straight for Honduras' English-speaking Bay Islands for a spot of scuba diving.

Having phoned ahead to check, I was pleased to discover that the journal I'd managed to leave behind in a hostel in Antigua was waiting for me, so I took a day off to stop off en route and pick it up. I was greeted with somebody else's empty plastic MasterCard chequebook holder so that was nice. Always seizing opportunities to learn something about myself and the world around while 'on the road', I took a bold decision ensuring I never make the same mistake twice and, as such, I've promised never to write another journal (ever), as the pain of losing it

(out of a series of 25)is just too great. (And don't believe any of that "Better to have loved and lost..." nonsense. I spent literally hours of my time on that little lamb.) Hmm, journals, cameras. Anyone else feel like this might end up being the least ever documented trip anywhere?

On my way to Honduras from Antigua I stopped in Puerto Barrios and Livingston, two towns on the Rio Dulce river in the south east of Guatemala. Not much to report really, got stuck in the room next to a boring photographer and eventually got too scared to leave my room for fear of him talking to me about lenses.

From there I made my way to the Honduran border where I met the first (of oh so many) Dane I'd seen for a month or two. I honestly don't believe there are any more people left in Denmark to offend ...
