had built so called Homer Split, a 2-mile long strech of land inside ocean waters to make water transport not dependend on tide level. There is a port at the end of the split with couple of nice cafes and pubs, among which the famous Salty Dog.
In Homer we tried to charter water taxi to take us across the inlet. But we also learned there is russian village at the end of the road, where somebody might be willing to take us across the inlet in a private boat much cheaper. Later it turned out that not only the tide was too low, but nobody would ever be willing to take us anywhere. Tracey is a fairly good person, who loves people and helps whenever she can. But she simply hates Russians from Katchemak. She describes them as a hermetic sect, who hate people and drink tons of alkohol.
In the morning we were woken up by cock-crow. For breakfast we stole some eggs from chickencoop and went down to Katchemak Selo.
