On Thursday August 9th a good friend of ours, Andre from Canmore gave us a ride to the trailhead, south from Spray Lakes. Only Marta and I decided to go hiking, and Peter and Chris preferred to stay at work to earn some more cash for the coming trip. We spent 5 beatiful days hiking in one of the most stunning parts of the Rocky Mountains, the Mount Assiniboine Provincial Park. First night we spent in Bryant Creek Shelter, a true old trappers' hut with a fireplace. On day 2 we faced snowstorm on Wonder Pass. On day 4 we made an attempt to climb the mighty Mount Assiniboine. The weather was clear but conditions not very good. Too little snow for crampons, too much for boots alone. A rope and ice-axes were neccessary. We gave up about in 2/3 of the ascent meassured as from RC Hind Hut to the top. Nevertheless the views were just amazing, which would never be at least well reflected on pictures. On day 6 Peter picked us up in Sunshine Village.
For next 2 days we were struggling to sell broken Mazda and buy another car.

That turned out to be quite tough, as no-one knew how to do it. With some help from friends from Canmore we finally managed though.
Early afternoon we were done even with the oil-change. Baggage was leaving absolutely no empty space in our enormous trunk, everything was ready to go! And off we went! Sixty kilometers...
Then we stopped in the middle of nowhere. Actually
