Accra
Kaśka GlancThe capital city of Ghana. It is also the largest urban area in the country and the most important financial and administrative centre.
The history of Accra is long and reaches back the 16th century. It was founded by the Ga people. The word Accra comes from the word Nkram and means ants. During the colonial times it was a very important trade centre for Portugal, France, Denmark and Britain. It has been serving as the capital for about 200 years now.
Nowadays Accra is one the richest African cities, where the standards of living are pretty high. Night life in this region is also very active.
