Port Gentil 
Kaśka GlancA town in the western part of the country. It is located on an island in the Ogooué River estuary east of Cape Lopez. It is an administrative centre of Ogooué-Maritime Prefecture.
The city is an significant centre of the Gabon petroleum industry. It is also a sport and commercial fishing centre. The main export products are timber, petroleum, fish, cacao, and forest products from the central part of the neighbourhood. Local industries consist of fish processing, oil refining, sawmilling, and plywood fabricating.
The village was at first a hunting camp called Mandji-Oroungou in 1885; a French post was established here . The town flourished after 1932.
Population : ca 125 000.
