A town in the eastern part of the country. It suffered strongly from famine at the beginning of the new millennium and malnourished children can still be found there. The famine was caused by drought in 2000 and, ironically, by flood in 2003. About 12 000 people lost their homes and 500ha of farmland have been destroyed by flooding in this district, home to about 165 000 people.
