A town with an airport, located in Sinai. There is the Greek Orthodox monastery of Santa Katharina, which is one of the most important places for Christian pilgrims. It is located on the 2285 m high summit of Mount Moses. From the top you can see a breath taking view of Sinai.
In the monastery you can admire icons from the 6th century, the mosaics, the iconostasis.
