Luxor

Luxor is a city in southern Egypt and the administrative centre of the Al Uqsur province. It is situated about 500km south from Cairo. It has a population of about 200,000. The ancient city of Thebes used to be here. So Luxor is actually one of the biggest and best museums in the world. There are the ruins of the huge temple complexes at Karnak and Luxor from 1300 BC. There is also a big necropolis, where you can visit two very famous valleys: Valley of the Kings and Valley of the Queens.
It is an extremely popular place of interest, so you can find hundreds of hotels there.
